🚗 BMW MEVD17.2 ECU – Multiple Cylinder Misfire
Vehicle had multiple cylinder misfire across several cylinders.
After opening and testing the ECU, confirmed internal Power MOSFET failure.
Unfortunately, replacement component not available / not repairable in this case.

❌ Incorrect coding in Engine Control Module
❌ Wrong coding in Steering Control Module
Result? Cruise control still not working.

BMW MSD80 ECU – Common Fault Symptoms
The MSD80 (Siemens DME) is widely used on BMW petrol engines (especially N54 era). When it starts failing, symptoms usually show up as ignition, injector, or communication issues.

MY STORY

My automotive journey began in the military, where I served in a mechanic unit as a wrecker driver responsible for vehicle recovery and fleet support. During this time, I completed my certification in Automotive Technology, building a strong foundation in mechanical systems and vehicle diagnostics.After leaving the military, I joined a Porsche specialist workshop where I worked closely with high-performance European vehicles. This experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of precision engineering and the high level of care required when servicing performance cars.
